Terms & Conditions & Service Policies
Last updated: 10 September 2026
At Bow Wows Dublin, care comes first — always.

These Terms & Conditions are designed to support safe, consistent and professional care while setting clear expectations for clients and the people providing that care.

By booking, paying for, purchasing a package or voucher, or using a Bow Wows Dublin service, you agree to the General Terms & Conditions and the Service Policy applicable to the service purchased. Where a Service Policy contains a more specific rule, that service-specific rule takes precedence.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or restricts statutory rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded under Irish or EU consumer law.

Bow Wows Dublin is operated by Brendan Reid, The Liberties, Dublin 8, Ireland. Contact: hello@bowwowsdublin.com.

PART 1 — GENERAL TERMS & CONDITIONS

1. Booking, Authority & Accurate Information

By making a booking, you confirm that you are the legal owner of the pet or are authorised by the owner to arrange the service.

You must provide complete and accurate information about the pet and booking, including contact and emergency-contact details, and must tell us before the service if relevant information changes.

Incomplete or inaccurate information may affect suitability or safety. Where undisclosed information materially affects the service, Bow Wows Dublin may adapt, postpone, stop or decline the service.

2. Our Standard of Care

Bow Wows Dublin provides services with reasonable care and skill. Every animal is treated as an individual, with their health, behaviour, comfort, coat, mobility, temperament and care requirements considered when delivering the service.

Care first. Always.

For grooming: Welfare first. Aesthetics second. Always.

We may adapt, pause or discontinue a service where we reasonably believe continuing would compromise the welfare or safety of the pet, another animal, a client, a team member or another person.

3. Health, Medical Conditions & Suitability

Pets must be reasonably fit and suitable for the service booked. Before each booking you must disclose relevant:

  • medical conditions, allergies or medication;
  • skin or coat conditions;
  • mobility issues or previous injuries;
  • anxiety, behavioural concerns or veterinary restrictions;
  • infectious or contagious conditions; and
  • any other circumstance that may affect safe care.

Where appropriate, including for boarding or home-based care, we may require evidence of vaccinations, parasite prevention or other health information.

A pet showing symptoms of contagious illness, active flea/tick infestation or another material health risk may have the service postponed, adapted or refused. If a concern becomes apparent during care, we may stop or adapt the service and contact you.

4. Behaviour & Safe Handling

You must disclose any known history of aggression, biting or attempted biting, reactivity, fear, anxiety, escape behaviour, resource guarding, handling difficulties or other incidents relevant to safe care.

Behavioural information is requested to help us provide appropriate care, not to judge the pet. We use welfare-led handling and do not intentionally use punishment or cause distress.

If a pet becomes excessively distressed, unsafe or unmanageable, the service may be paused, adapted or stopped.

5. Team Members, Contractors & Care Providers

Bow Wows Dublin may use appropriately selected employees, contractors, associates or care providers to deliver certain pet-care services. Where relevant, the person providing the service may be identified in the booking or client communications.

Bow Wows Dublin remains responsible for administering the client booking and will take reasonable steps to select and brief care providers appropriately. Service availability may depend on the availability and suitability of the assigned provider.

6. Prices, VAT & Changes in Requirements

Unless stated otherwise, prices shown to consumers include VAT where applicable. The price and material service details will be shown or communicated before a booking is confirmed.

Where the pet's size, coat, condition, behaviour, health, location, journey requirements or care needs materially differ from the information supplied, the service or price may need to change. Where reasonably practicable, material additional charges will be explained before chargeable additional work is undertaken.

Prices may change for future bookings. A price change will not normally be applied retrospectively to a confirmed booking unless the booking itself is materially changed or the client agrees.

7. Payments, Booking Payments & Deposits

Payment requirements vary by service and are displayed during booking or in the relevant Service Policy. Bow Wows Dublin may require full payment, a booking payment/deposit, or a balance by a specified date.

A requested booking is not secured until it has been accepted by Bow Wows Dublin and any required payment has been received.

Unless a Service Policy states otherwise, a 50% booking payment may be required to secure a booking, with the remaining balance due at the time communicated in the booking confirmation.

The Private Walking Experience, Drop-In Visits and Handstripping Consultation require full payment at booking unless the booking system states otherwise.

8. Online & Distance Bookings / Statutory Cancellation Rights

Where a contract is made online, by telephone or by another distance-selling method, statutory cancellation or withdrawal rights that apply under Irish consumer law remain unaffected.

For many distance service contracts, consumers have a 14-day statutory withdrawal period from the date the contract is concluded. Exceptions can apply to certain services and circumstances. Where the law gives you a withdrawal right, Bow Wows Dublin will honour it.

If you expressly request that a service starts during an applicable withdrawal period, you may be asked to consent to early performance and acknowledge any legal consequences. Where permitted by law, you may be required to pay a proportionate amount for services supplied before a valid withdrawal.

Where a statutory monetary refund is due, it will be made without undue delay and within the period required by law, normally using the original payment method unless you expressly agree otherwise.

This statutory section operates separately from Bow Wows Dublin's normal cancellation policies.

9. Cancellations, Rescheduling, Credits & No-Shows

The cancellation policy in the relevant Service Policy applies to the booking. Different services reserve different amounts of time and capacity and therefore may have different notice periods.

Where a client is entitled under Bow Wows Dublin's contractual cancellation policy to an amount back, Bow Wows Dublin may offer account credit as an alternative. A monetary refund will be provided where required by law or where the applicable terms specifically require it. Account credit will not replace a statutory monetary refund without the client's agreement.

A no-show occurs where a client fails to attend or fails to make the pet reasonably available for a scheduled service without the required notice. A no-show may result in up to the full booking value becoming payable or, for a prepaid package, the relevant session being deducted.

Repeated no-shows or late cancellations may result in future bookings requiring advance payment or being declined.

10. Peak & Holiday Periods

Bow Wows Dublin may designate certain dates or periods as Peak or Holiday Periods due to increased demand and the limited availability reserved for bookings during these times.

These may include Christmas, New Year, Easter, Irish bank holiday weekends and other periods identified as peak dates before booking.

Unless a longer cancellation period is stated within the Service Policy applicable to your booking, a minimum of 14 days' notice is required to cancel or make a material change to a booking falling within a designated Peak or Holiday Period.

Where less than 14 days' notice is provided, the booking payment may be retained and/or up to the full booking value may become payable, according to the conditions communicated when the booking was confirmed.

Where the Service Policy applicable to your booking already requires a longer notice period or results in a higher applicable cancellation charge, that service-specific policy will continue to apply. For example, the cancellation terms applicable to Home Away From Home bookings may require more than 14 days' notice and therefore take precedence.

Different booking-payment requirements, pricing, supplements or cancellation conditions may also apply during designated Peak or Holiday Periods. Where applicable, these will be clearly displayed or communicated before the booking is confirmed.

Nothing in this section affects any statutory cancellation, refund or other consumer rights that apply to your booking.

11. Emergencies & Veterinary Care

If a pet becomes ill or injured while in our care, we will attempt to contact the owner or nominated emergency contact as soon as reasonably possible.

Where we reasonably believe urgent veterinary attention is necessary and the owner/emergency contact cannot be reached in sufficient time, we may contact the nominated veterinary practice or another appropriate veterinary provider.

Veterinary treatment and associated costs remain the owner's responsibility unless the cost arose because of something for which Bow Wows Dublin is legally responsible. You authorise us to share relevant care and medical information with a veterinary provider where reasonably necessary to protect the pet's welfare.

12. Medication

Where medication administration forms part of an agreed service, medication must be supplied in original or clearly labelled packaging with clear written dosage and administration instructions and any relevant veterinary guidance.

We may decline medication administration where it would be unsafe, outside the agreed service or require veterinary expertise.

13. Hygiene, Parasites & Infection Control

We maintain appropriate hygiene procedures across our services, including cleaning grooming and transport equipment, work areas and care equipment, and taking reasonable precautions to reduce the spread of infectious conditions.

A service may be postponed or stopped where contagious illness or significant parasite infestation creates a material risk.

14. Photos, Videos & Marketing

Photos or videos may be taken for legitimate care purposes, including condition records, client updates, service documentation and care records.

Identifiable pet images used for advertising, social media or promotional marketing will only be used where appropriate consent has been obtained. Marketing consent may be withdrawn for future use at any time.

15. Client Data & Privacy

Personal information is handled in accordance with applicable Irish and EU data-protection law, including the GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018. Information may be processed to administer bookings, deliver services, communicate with clients, manage payments and emergencies, maintain records, meet legal/insurance obligations and conduct marketing where a lawful basis applies.

Bow Wows Dublin does not sell personal information. Further details are set out in the Bow Wows Dublin Privacy Policy.

16. Complaints

If you are unhappy with a service, please contact Bow Wows Dublin as soon as reasonably possible so we can review the circumstances and attempt to resolve the concern.

We will review relevant information, discuss the circumstances and, where appropriate, propose a reasonable remedy. This process does not limit statutory consumer rights.

17. Liability

Bow Wows Dublin takes reasonable precautions to protect animals in our care. Animals can have health conditions, sensitivities or behavioural responses that are not known to us or may not previously have been apparent.

Clients remain responsible for providing accurate information and updating us when circumstances change.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability that cannot lawfully be excluded under Irish consumer law.

18. Animal Welfare

Bow Wows Dublin is committed to protecting the welfare of every animal in our care and to providing care appropriate to the service and individual animal, including appropriate access to water, food where agreed, suitable environment, rest, exercise/natural behaviour opportunities, companionship/supervision where applicable and protection from avoidable pain, injury and unnecessary suffering.

Our welfare practices are informed by applicable Irish animal-welfare legislation, including the Animal Health and Welfare Act 2013.

19. Changes to These Terms

These Terms may be updated to reflect changes in services, operating procedures or legal obligations. The terms applicable to a booking will normally be those made available when that booking is confirmed. Material changes will not normally be applied retrospectively to disadvantage an existing confirmed booking unless required by law or agreed with the client.

20. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Ireland. Nothing in them affects statutory rights or legal remedies available to consumers.

PART 2 — GROOMING POLICIES

21. General Grooming Policy

Grooming is tailored to the dog's coat type, coat condition, size, health, behaviour, grooming history, tolerance and individual needs. We aim to achieve the requested result where it can be completed safely and comfortably.

Welfare first. Aesthetics second. Always.

Matting & Coat Condition

Matted coats can cause discomfort and may conceal irritation, sores, parasites, bruising or other skin conditions. Where significant matting is present, clipping to an appropriate length may be safer and kinder than extensive dematting.

Removal of severe matting can reveal pre-existing skin conditions or irritation. We will take reasonable care and communicate relevant concerns identified during the appointment.

Grooming Risks

Grooming may involve increased risk where a dog has severe matting, sensitive/damaged skin, existing skin conditions, poor coat condition, anxiety, handling difficulties, advanced age or underlying health conditions. We may adapt or stop the groom where necessary.

Collection After Grooming

Dogs should be collected within the agreed collection window after completion. Materially late collection requiring additional care may incur an additional charge where communicated.

22. The Bow Wows Signature Experience

Prices are based on the information supplied and expected grooming requirements. Actual requirements may differ according to size, coat type/condition, behaviour, health and the time reasonably required.

The Signature Experience includes up to 10 minutes of complimentary dematting where this can be completed safely and comfortably. Significant or extensive matting requiring additional time, specialist handling or a clip-down may incur the applicable Matted Coat Surcharge shown at booking.

Where dematting would cause unnecessary discomfort or stress, the coat will be clipped to the safest appropriate length.

A 50% booking payment is required unless the booking system states otherwise. At least 24 hours' notice is required to cancel or reschedule under the normal grooming policy. With sufficient notice, the booking payment may normally be transferred to another available appointment; late cancellation may result in it being retained.

The requested groom, coat length or finish may be adapted where coat condition, behaviour, health or comfort makes this necessary.

23. The Fresh Edit

The Fresh Edit is a professional bathing and coat-maintenance service. It does not include a full haircut or restyle. Clipping, significant scissoring, major coat correction, significant dematting, deshedding or specialist coat work are not included unless expressly selected or included. Bow Wows Edit Menu items may be added and charged separately.

A 50% booking payment is required unless the booking system states otherwise. At least 24 hours' notice is required to cancel or reschedule under the normal grooming policy.

Ear care is adapted to the individual dog. Ear plucking will only be carried out where considered appropriate and tolerated; veterinary advice may be recommended where ears appear inflamed, irritated or otherwise concerning.

24. Handstripping Consultation

The Handstripping Consultation is an assessment only and does not include a full handstripping service. Booking a consultation does not guarantee suitability.

Suitability depends on coat type, condition, growth, previous clipping/grooming history and the dog's comfort and tolerance.

The consultation fee shown at booking is payable in full at booking. At least 24 hours' notice is required to cancel or reschedule under the normal grooming policy.

25. Handstripping Maintenance

This service is intended for suitable wire coats already established on an appropriate handstripping maintenance schedule. Dogs new to Bow Wows Dublin for handstripping, dogs not previously handstripped, previously clipped dogs, significantly overgrown coats, or uncertain coat suitability may require a Handstripping Consultation first.

Pricing shown at booking assumes a normally maintained coat. A significantly overgrown coat or materially additional work may require a different service or adjusted price.

Handstripping will not be continued solely to achieve a cosmetic result where doing so would compromise welfare.

A 50% booking payment is required unless the booking system states otherwise. At least 24 hours' notice is required to cancel or reschedule.

26. Grooming Maintenance & Rebooking

Recommended grooming intervals vary according to coat type, desired style, coat condition, lifestyle, grooming history and individual needs. Many dogs benefit from professional grooming approximately every 4–8 weeks, while some require more frequent maintenance.

Where a dog returns significantly outside the recommended schedule, additional time, a different grooming approach or additional charges may be required. Regular clients may receive priority access to future appointments, subject to availability.

27. Grooming Packages

Bow Wows Dublin offers prepaid grooming packages for the registered dog. All current grooming packages are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase unless a different validity period is clearly shown at purchase.

The Signature Six

Includes 6 Signature Experiences for the registered dog. It is designed to support a consistent professional grooming rhythm and a personalised schedule around the dog's coat and individual needs.

The Complete Coat Year

Includes 6 Signature Experiences and 6 Fresh Edits for the registered dog, creating a personalised year-round coat-care rhythm. The recommended sequence may be adapted according to coat condition, grooming needs, comfort and welfare.

The Fresh Six

Includes 6 Fresh Edit experiences for the registered dog and is designed to support consistent professional bathing and coat maintenance.

The Fresh Twelve

Includes 12 Fresh Edit experiences for the registered dog and is designed for dogs who benefit from more frequent professional bathing and coat maintenance.

General Package Terms

  • Packages are allocated to the registered dog and cannot be transferred to another dog, client or household without Bow Wows Dublin's prior written agreement.
  • Package appointments must be booked in advance and remain subject to availability. Purchasing a package does not guarantee a particular date or time.
  • We recommend planning appointments ahead to support the recommended grooming rhythm.
  • The Fresh Edit does not include a full haircut or restyle. Additional trimming, dematting, deshedding, specialist coat work and Bow Wows Edit Menu items are not included unless expressly stated and may incur additional charges.
  • All grooming and styling remains subject to the dog's coat condition, behaviour, health, comfort and welfare on the day.
  • Unused package sessions expire at the end of the stated validity period, subject always to any statutory rights that apply.
  • Packages are sold as prepaid service packages and are not redeemable for cash. Any statutory cancellation, refund or other consumer rights remain unaffected.

Package Pricing & Changes in Grooming Requirements

Grooming packages are priced according to the service, size category and expected grooming requirements of the registered dog at the time the package is purchased.

Purchasing a package does not guarantee that the dog's grooming requirements, service requirements or applicable additional charges will remain unchanged throughout the package validity period. A dog's coat, health, behaviour, mobility, grooming tolerance or other individual requirements may change over time.

If, during the package validity period, the dog's size or grooming category changes; coat condition or maintenance requirements change significantly; the coat becomes significantly matted or overgrown; behaviour or handling requirements materially change; health, mobility or comfort requirements change; or the grooming otherwise requires materially more time, care or resources than reasonably anticipated at purchase, Bow Wows Dublin may recommend or require a different grooming approach, additional service, additional time or a more appropriate service for the dog's current needs.

Where additional work falls outside the service included within the package, an additional charge may apply. Where reasonably practicable, any material change to the planned service or additional charge will be explained before additional chargeable work is undertaken.

A package entitlement does not require Bow Wows Dublin to perform a particular groom, maintain a particular coat length or provide work that would be unsafe, unsuitable or contrary to the dog's welfare.

Where a dog's circumstances change so significantly that an included package service is no longer reasonably suitable, Bow Wows Dublin will discuss the available options with the owner, taking into account services already redeemed, the remaining package entitlement and any applicable consumer rights.

Welfare first. Aesthetics second. Always.

Package Cancellations & Rescheduling

At least 24 hours' notice is required to cancel or reschedule an individual package appointment. With sufficient notice, the appointment may be moved to another available date within the package validity period. Late cancellations or no-shows may result in the relevant package session being deducted.

Where Bow Wows Dublin cannot provide an included service for reasons attributable to Bow Wows Dublin, the client's statutory and contractual remedies remain unaffected.

PART 3 — PREMIUM PET CARE SERVICE POLICIES

28. The Private Walking Experience

The Private Walking Experience is a 60-minute one-to-one dog walking service. The current price is shown at booking and includes VAT where applicable.

Full payment is required at booking unless otherwise shown.

Cancellations

  • More than 48 hours' notice: cancel or reschedule without charge.
  • 24–48 hours' notice: 50% of the individual booking value is retained/chargeable.
  • Less than 24 hours' notice or no-show: up to 100% of the individual booking value is retained/chargeable.

The dog must have secure, correctly fitted walking equipment. Dogs are normally walked on lead unless an alternative arrangement is expressly agreed and considered safe.

Route, pace, distance and activity may be adapted for welfare, behaviour, temperature, unsafe weather, environmental hazards or another legitimate safety concern. Where necessary, a walk may be shortened or replaced in whole or part with suitable enrichment/care.

Private Walking Packages

Walking packages may be offered for prepaid Private Walking Experience sessions. Current package prices and validity periods are shown at purchase.

  • Packages are prepaid in full and are intended for the registered dog.
  • Sessions must be booked in advance and remain subject to availability.
  • Unused sessions expire at the end of the stated package validity period, subject to statutory rights.
  • Package sessions cannot be exchanged for other services or cash unless Bow Wows Dublin agrees or the law requires otherwise.
  • More than 48 hours' notice: session may be rescheduled without deduction; 24–48 hours: up to 50% of the session value may be deducted; less than 24 hours/no-show: one full session may be deducted.

29. The Pet Sitting Experience

The Pet Sitting Experience provides care in the client's home for the booked duration. Current duration options, hourly pricing and additional-pet charges are shown at booking.

Where included in the booked service, one walk of up to one hour may be provided where appropriate for the pet and conditions allow. Additional walks or time must be booked or agreed and may be charged separately.

A 50% booking payment is required unless otherwise shown. More than 48 hours' notice allows cancellation/rescheduling without charge; 24–48 hours may result in 50% of the booking value being retained/chargeable; less than 24 hours may result in up to 100% being retained/chargeable.

Clients must provide complete care instructions, safe property access, sufficient food, medication and essential supplies.

30. Drop-In Visit

A Drop-In Visit is a scheduled home visit and does not include continuous pet sitting, overnight care or extended supervision. Visits take place within the agreed time window unless a specific time has been expressly confirmed.

Full payment is required at booking unless otherwise shown. At least 24 hours' notice is required to cancel or reschedule; late cancellations may result in payment being retained/chargeable.

Clients must provide accurate health, behaviour, feeding, medication and care information and safe property access, including keys/access codes/alarm instructions where relevant.

31. Home Away From Home Experience

Home Away From Home is intentionally limited and is subject to suitability and availability. Capacity is reserved specifically for each confirmed stay.

Boarding pricing is charged per night at the rate shown at booking.

Payment

A 50% booking payment is required to secure dates. The remaining balance is due 30 days before arrival. Bookings confirmed within 30 days of arrival require full payment at confirmation.

Standard Cancellation Policy

  • More than 30 days before arrival: the 50% booking payment is retained.
  • 14–30 days before arrival: 50% of the total booking value is payable.
  • Less than 14 days before arrival: 100% of the total booking value is payable.

These contractual cancellation charges remain subject to any statutory rights that apply.

Peak & Holiday Periods

The general Peak & Holiday Periods policy applies to this service. A minimum of 14 days' notice applies to designated peak/holiday bookings unless the Standard Cancellation Policy above requires longer notice or results in a higher charge, in which case the stricter Home Away From Home cancellation term applies. Any different peak-period payment or pricing conditions will be clearly communicated before booking.

Changes, Early Departure & Suitability

Reducing confirmed nights may be treated as cancellation of those nights. Voluntary early departure after a stay begins does not normally create a refund entitlement for unused nights, subject to statutory rights and any failure by Bow Wows Dublin to provide the contracted service.

A meet-and-greet or settling-in visit may be required before a first stay. Current assessment pricing will be shown when arranged.

Clients must provide complete health, medication, behaviour, routine, feeding, exercise, social, veterinary and emergency-contact information. Arrival/departure times must be agreed in advance.

32. The Bow Wows Day Retreat

The Day Retreat provides private, home-from-home daytime care and is subject to availability and suitability. It is not a guaranteed recurring daycare place.

Current duration and pricing are shown at booking. A 50% booking payment is required unless otherwise shown.

Clients must provide complete health, behaviour, dietary, medication and care information and any required food/essential items.

Collection must occur by the agreed time. Additional care caused by late collection may be charged where we can accommodate it.

At least 24 hours' notice is required to cancel or reschedule. Late cancellations may result in the applicable booking payment being retained/chargeable.

Private Chauffeur transport, where available, is booked separately and is subject to the Private Chauffeur Terms below.

33. The Bow Wows Private Chauffeur

These terms apply specifically to The Bow Wows Private Chauffeur and operate alongside the General Terms above.

Nature of the Service & One-Way Bookings

The Private Chauffeur provides pre-arranged private pet transport between one agreed collection point and one agreed destination. All journeys are subject to availability, suitability, operational requirements and acceptance by Bow Wows Dublin.

Every booking is for one one-way journey only. Return transport is not included. If transport is required in both directions, two separate bookings must be made. Each journey is separately priced and confirmed; acceptance of one journey does not guarantee availability for another.

Pricing: Collection Area + Journey Distance

Pricing is calculated using (1) the Collection Area from which Bow Wows Dublin is required to collect the pet and/or agreed accompanying passenger and (2) the normal driving distance between the collection point and destination.

Collection-area examples are a guide. Exact address/Eircode, reasonable route, travel requirements and operational circumstances may be considered. If an incorrect Collection Area or Journey Distance is selected, Bow Wows Dublin may correct the price before accepting the booking.

Journeys outside standard areas or distance options may require a personalised quote.

Peak Travel Supplement

A Peak Travel Supplement applies where the scheduled collection time falls within a designated peak period. Current peak periods are 8:00am–10:00am, 12:00pm–2:00pm and 5:00pm–6:00pm. The current supplement is displayed during booking and may be reviewed for future bookings.

Airport & Port Assistance

Standard transport does not automatically include parking, entering an airport/ferry terminal, extended terminal waiting or in-person terminal assistance.

Where required, the Airport & Port Assistance add-on must be selected in advance. It may include meeting the customer at an agreed terminal location and reasonable assistance with the pet, travel crate and luggage between the meeting point and vehicle.

The add-on includes standard parking and up to 30 minutes of assistance from the agreed meeting time. Additional waiting charges and additional parking costs may apply after the included period or where delays/circumstances exceed the agreed assistance.

Accurate flight/ferry details and expected arrival/departure times must be supplied. Assistance is subject to availability.

Waiting Time

For standard journeys, the first 15 minutes of waiting is complimentary. Additional waiting is charged at the rate displayed or communicated at booking. Airport & Port Assistance includes up to 30 minutes before additional waiting charges may apply.

Extended waiting must be disclosed in advance where reasonably anticipated and is subject to driver availability.

Additional Stops, Tolls & Other Costs

A standard booking covers one collection point and one destination. Additional collection points, drop-off points or stops must be disclosed in advance and may incur additional charges or require a personalised quote.

Tolls, exceptional parking and unavoidable third-party travel costs not expressly included in the service/add-on may be charged separately where appropriate.

Collection, Arrival & Time-Sensitive Journeys

Collection and estimated arrival times are based on information available at confirmation. Exact times cannot be guaranteed where delays arise from traffic, road closures, accidents, weather, third-party delays or other circumstances outside our reasonable control.

For veterinary appointments, flights, ferries, boarding or other time-sensitive journeys, the client must provide the required arrival/check-in time. Bow Wows Dublin may recommend or require an earlier collection time.

Safety, Information & Third Parties

Clients must provide accurate collection/destination addresses and Eircodes, requested collection time, required arrival time, pet details, agreed passenger details, crate/luggage details and any special requirements.

Relevant medical, mobility, behavioural, reactivity, anxiety or travel concerns must be disclosed. Pets will be appropriately secured during transport using suitable restraints/carriers/equipment.

For third-party destinations, the client is responsible for ensuring the third party is expecting the pet and that appointments, documents, permissions and arrangements are in place.

Missed Collections & Changes

If collection cannot be completed because the client is unavailable, access is not provided, the pet is not ready/safely available, or incorrect information has been supplied, the booking may remain chargeable and additional waiting/parking/travel may also be charged.

Material changes after confirmation are subject to availability and may alter the Collection Area, Journey Distance, Peak Travel Supplement or other charge.

Payment, Cancellation & Confirmation

The payment requirement is shown during booking. At least 24 hours' notice is required to cancel or reschedule under the normal Private Chauffeur cancellation policy; late cancellation or changes may result in the applicable booking payment being retained/chargeable, subject to statutory rights.

All Chauffeur bookings operate on a request basis. An automated acknowledgement or calculated price does not confirm the journey. The booking is confirmed only once Bow Wows Dublin has reviewed and accepted it and any required payment has been completed.

34. The Bow Wows Stay At Home Experience

The Stay At Home Experience provides overnight pet sitting in the client's home and is subject to availability, suitability and confirmation. Requirements for continuous 24-hour presence or significant additional daytime care must be disclosed in advance and may affect availability and price.

A new-client assessment may be required before a first stay. Current pricing is shown when arranged.

Current nightly, peak-period and additional-pet pricing is shown at booking. A 50% booking payment is required unless otherwise shown.

For off-peak dates, at least 24 hours' notice is required to cancel or reschedule. For bookings falling within a designated Peak or Holiday Period, the general minimum 14-day notice period applies unless a longer service-specific period was clearly communicated before booking.

Clients must provide complete care, behaviour, medication and home-access information and sufficient supplies for the stay.

35. The Bow Wows Wedding Guest Experience

These terms apply specifically to bookings for the Bow Wows Dublin Wedding Guest Experience and should be read together with Bow Wows Dublin's General Terms & Conditions and any applicable Pet Care, Home Away From Home and Private Chauffeur terms.

Where there is a conflict concerning a Wedding Guest Experience booking, these specific wedding terms will apply to that booking.

Booking Requests & Confirmation

All Wedding Guest Experience bookings are request-based and subject to availability, suitability and acceptance by Bow Wows Dublin.

Submitting a booking request does not reserve or guarantee a date.

A booking is confirmed only when Bow Wows Dublin has accepted the request, the required booking information has been supplied and the 50% booking payment has been received.

Wedding dates cannot be held indefinitely without payment.

Price & Package Inclusions

The standard Wedding Guest Experience is priced at €500 including VAT, unless otherwise quoted.

The standard package includes:

  • Private collection from the agreed location;
  • Private chauffeur to the agreed wedding venue;
  • Wedding-day preparation using owner-supplied accessories where applicable;
  • Up to 2 hours of dedicated wedding chaperoning;
  • Assistance during agreed photographs and wedding moments;
  • Reasonable comfort, water and toilet breaks;
  • Private transport from the wedding venue;
  • One night of Home Away From Home care;
  • Reasonable photo/video updates; and
  • Private return to the agreed location the following day.

Additional travel, additional chaperoning, additional nights, excessive waiting time, out-of-hours services, additional collections/stops or other requirements outside the standard package may incur additional charges. Any known additional charges will be communicated and agreed before confirmation wherever reasonably practicable.

Payment Schedule

A 50% booking payment is required to reserve the wedding date.

The remaining 50% balance must be paid no later than 14 calendar days before the wedding date.

Where a booking is made within 14 days of the wedding, the full booking price is payable at the time the booking is accepted.

Failure to pay the remaining balance by the due date may be treated as a cancellation by the client. Bow Wows Dublin may release the reserved date and apply the applicable cancellation charges.

Client Cancellation

Wedding bookings reserve dedicated chaperone, transport and overnight-care capacity and may prevent Bow Wows Dublin from accepting other bookings for the same period. Accordingly, the following cancellation charges apply:

  • More than 30 days before the wedding: the initial 50% booking payment is retained.
  • 15–30 days before the wedding: 75% of the total agreed booking price is payable.
  • 14 days or less before the wedding: 100% of the total agreed booking price is payable and no refund will be provided.

Where the client has paid more than the applicable cancellation charge, any balance due for refund will be returned using the appropriate payment method. Where the amount already paid is less than the applicable cancellation charge, the outstanding cancellation amount remains payable.

Any statutory rights that cannot lawfully be excluded remain unaffected.

Changes to the Wedding

Changes to the venue, date, collection or return location, collection time, wedding appearance time, chaperone duration or other material booking details must be requested as early as possible. Changes are subject to availability and are not guaranteed.

A significant change may require a revised quotation or may be treated as a cancellation and new booking where Bow Wows Dublin cannot reasonably accommodate the revised arrangements. Any additional costs caused by an agreed change will be confirmed with the client.

Wedding Chaperone Time

The standard package includes up to 2 hours of chaperone attendance at the wedding venue. The two-hour period is a maximum included allowance and unused time has no cash value and does not entitle the client to a partial refund.

Additional time must be agreed in advance wherever possible and may incur an additional charge.

If circumstances outside Bow Wows Dublin's reasonable control result in unavoidable waiting or substantial additional attendance, additional charges may apply where appropriate.

Dog Welfare & Participation

The dog's welfare takes priority over photographs, ceremonies, schedules or other wedding activities.

Bow Wows Dublin does not guarantee that a dog will participate for the full two-hour period or in every requested photograph or activity.

Where the chaperone reasonably believes the dog is becoming stressed, overwhelmed, frightened, unwell, unsafe or otherwise uncomfortable, Bow Wows Dublin may provide a break, move the dog to a quieter environment, modify their participation or remove them from the wedding environment.

Where reasonably necessary for welfare or safety, the dog may be transported away from the venue earlier than originally planned.

A welfare-led decision of this nature does not constitute a failure to provide the service and does not automatically entitle the client to a refund.

Behaviour & Disclosure

Clients must provide complete and accurate information regarding their dog's behaviour, temperament, health, medication, bite history, reactivity, separation difficulties, handling sensitivities, escape tendencies and interactions with people and other animals.

Failure to disclose material information may result in the service being modified or terminated where necessary for safety or welfare. Additional reasonable costs arising directly from materially inaccurate or omitted information may be charged to the client where permitted.

Health & Veterinary Care

The client must disclose all relevant medical conditions, allergies, medication and care requirements before the booking.

The client authorises Bow Wows Dublin to seek veterinary attention where reasonably considered necessary during the dog's care if the client or nominated emergency contact cannot be reached promptly.

Unless Bow Wows Dublin is responsible under applicable law, veterinary and associated third-party costs remain the client's responsibility.

Wedding Accessories

Clients are responsible for providing any clothing, floral collars, bow ties, bandanas, harnesses or other wedding accessories they wish their dog to wear.

Bow Wows Dublin may decline to use or may remove an accessory if it appears uncomfortable, restrictive, unsafe or unsuitable for the dog.

Bow Wows Dublin cannot guarantee against ordinary loss or damage to accessories used during normal handling and wedding activities, except where liability cannot lawfully be excluded.

Transport & Timings

Collection, wedding arrival, venue departure and return times are agreed based on the information available when the booking is arranged.

Clients should provide realistic timings and notify Bow Wows Dublin immediately of significant changes.

While reasonable efforts will be made to meet agreed schedules, Bow Wows Dublin cannot guarantee exact arrival times where delays result from circumstances outside its reasonable control, including traffic, road closures, accidents, severe weather, venue access restrictions or other unforeseen disruption.

Overnight Care

The package includes one overnight Home Away From Home stay following the wedding appearance.

The client must provide all required food, medication, equipment and accurate care instructions unless otherwise agreed. Standard Home Away From Home suitability and welfare requirements also apply.

Meet & Greet / Suitability

Bow Wows Dublin may require an in-person or virtual Meet & Greet, suitability assessment or additional information before accepting the booking. Acceptance of a booking does not remove Bow Wows Dublin's right to make reasonable welfare or safety decisions on the day based on the dog's behaviour and circumstances.

Photographs & Third-Party Wedding Suppliers

Bow Wows Dublin will reasonably assist with positioning and handling the dog for agreed photographs but cannot guarantee particular photographs, poses or outcomes.

Professional photography remains the responsibility of the client's photographer.

Bow Wows Dublin is not responsible for the acts, omissions or delays of photographers, wedding planners, venues, florists, transport providers or other third parties.

Client Delays

The client must provide an appropriate contact person for the wedding day where required.

Where delays, inaccessible collection points, venue restrictions, changes to the wedding schedule or other client-controlled circumstances materially extend the service, additional waiting or chaperone charges may apply.

Cancellation by Bow Wows Dublin

In the unlikely event Bow Wows Dublin must cancel the service for reasons within its control and cannot provide a suitable agreed alternative, amounts paid for services not provided will be refunded as appropriate.

Bow Wows Dublin will not exclude or limit liability where doing so would be prohibited by applicable Irish law.

Events Outside Reasonable Control

Where performance is prevented or materially affected by circumstances outside Bow Wows Dublin's reasonable control — including severe weather, road closures, accidents, government restrictions, venue closure, serious illness or other exceptional events — Bow Wows Dublin will work with the client in good faith to identify a reasonable solution.

Any rights or remedies available to the client under applicable law remain unaffected.

Acceptance of Terms

By confirming the booking and making the required payment, the client confirms that they have read and accepted these Wedding Guest Experience Terms & Conditions together with the applicable Bow Wows Dublin General Terms & Conditions.

The client also confirms that the information supplied regarding their dog and wedding arrangements is accurate and complete.

These terms do not affect any statutory consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded or restricted.

36. The Gift Bow-cher

The Gift Bow-cher is issued as a unique voucher code following purchase and may be redeemed against eligible Bow Wows Dublin services by entering the code at checkout.

Bookings remain subject to availability, suitability and the applicable Bow Wows Dublin Terms & Conditions. Where the booking value exceeds the remaining voucher value, the customer is responsible for paying the outstanding balance.

Gift Bow-chers cannot be exchanged for cash, resold or used to purchase another Gift Bow-cher. Purchase of a Gift Bow-cher does not guarantee the availability of any particular service, date, time or team member.

Where a booking made with Gift Bow-cher credit is cancelled, the cancellation policy for the underlying service applies. Late cancellations or no-shows may result in the applicable booking value being deducted from the voucher balance.

Any expiry or validity period will be applied in accordance with applicable Irish law. Statutory consumer rights are unaffected. Under current Irish law, where an expiry date applies, it must be at least five years from the date of purchase, and where more than €1 remains after partial redemption, the remaining balance must be made available to the customer in a legally permitted form.

PART 4 — FINAL PROVISIONS

37. Service-Specific Terms

The Service Policy applicable to a booking forms part of these Terms & Conditions. Where a Service Policy contains a more specific provision relating to payment, cancellation, duration, pricing or service delivery, that specific provision takes precedence over a more general provision.

38. Acceptance

By completing a booking or purchase with Bow Wows Dublin, you confirm that the information supplied is accurate to the best of your knowledge, relevant safety/care information has been disclosed, and you have read and accepted these Terms and the applicable Service Policy, subject always to statutory rights.
