— WHY WE EXIST
I built Bow Wows Dublin
because I wanted better for my own dog.
After leaving my corporate career, I began caring for local dogs and discovered how much I loved working with animals.
Then Winnie went for her first professional groom and came home looking nothing like the puppy I had dropped off. Her coat was far shorter than expected, communication was limited, and I remember thinking: There has to be a better way.
So I bought a pair of scissors, trained professionally in dog grooming, and Bow Wows Dublin grew from there.
That experience shaped how I believe pets should be cared for:
Never rushed. Never treated like another appointment. Always cared for as an individual.
That philosophy now runs through everything we do — from one-to-one grooming to private walks, sitting and boarding.
Welfare first. Personal care, always.

Dog grooming prices vary depending on your dog's size, coat type and condition, behaviour and the time required.
At Bow Wows Dublin, prices shown when booking are indicative, with the final price based on your dog's individual grooming requirements.
It depends on your dog's coat, lifestyle and preferred style. Many higher-maintenance coats benefit from professional grooming every 4–8 weeks.
We'll recommend a suitable schedule based on your individual dog.
Our Signature Experience™ includes professional bathing and conditioning, coat preparation, bespoke haircut and styling, nail, paw, hygiene and ear care, finishing touches and a personalised care plan.
Every groom is tailored around your dog's coat, comfort and individual needs.
Timing depends on your dog's size, coat, service, behaviour and individual needs.
Because we provide one-to-one dog grooming, we allow the time your dog needs rather than rushing them to meet a fixed finishing time.
Introducing puppies to professional grooming early can help them become comfortable with handling, bathing, drying, brushing and grooming equipment.
Our one-to-one approach allows these early experiences to be introduced gradually and at your puppy's pace.
Potentially, yes. Our quieter, one-to-one grooming environment can be particularly helpful for nervous or sensitive dogs.
We work at the individual dog's pace and provide breaks where appropriate, but we'll never continue if doing so would compromise their welfare or safety.
Your Signature Experience™ includes up to 10 minutes of complimentary dematting where this can be done safely and comfortably.
More significant matting may incur an additional charge or require the coat to be clipped to a safe length.
Welfare always comes before preserving a hairstyle.
One-to-one grooming means your dog's appointment is focused entirely on them.
At Bow Wows Dublin, we provide private, home-based grooming with Brendan as your dog's dedicated groomer from start to finish. We welcome just one dog at a time, creating a calmer, quieter and more personal grooming experience.

No. Our grooming appointments are intentionally private and one-to-one, without multiple dogs being groomed or waiting around them.
This can be particularly helpful for dogs who find busy salon environments overwhelming.
Generally, appointments are carried out privately between your dog and their groomer, as many dogs settle better without their owner present.
If there's a particular reason your dog may need you to stay, please discuss this with us before booking.
Potentially. Every dog is assessed individually, and our quieter one-to-one approach can help dogs who have struggled with grooming previously.
Please tell us about any biting, snapping, reactivity or previous difficult experiences before booking. We will never force a dog through a groom they cannot safely tolerate.
